J.Crew | Enough Said

I try to stay away from J.Crew because it always becomes an obsession. There is never a time when I just don't like anything AND this season J.Crew has brought it. Every hot trend on the runway is in stores!

Pops of color, Leather, Camo and my personal fave the Sporty trend.
I think this is my favorite J.Crew Collection yet.

+Glamour Magazine has given you 32 Genius Outfit Ideas to help you out with choosing this Fall. They did a great job mixing prints and embellished pieces. It's pure genius.
Click here!

So far I haven't invested too much but I do have a Wish List.
This item is so far my favorite because I can mix and match it with almost everything; Leather, Camo, Plaid and the Sporty trend.

For the home | H&M

Interior Design has always been a passion for me and I always get giddy inside seeing stores like Zara add a home line. For those who don't know yet the Swedish Retailer H&M now wants to dress your home too!

I love that Fashion and Interior Design are now associated. With Fashion & Home lines looking to each other for color swatches, patterns and textures it only makes sense for H&M to take advantage of this time and expand their home line into the states.

With rich colors, metallic pillow covers, floral bedding, glass vases and a special baby/kids line H&M has wowed me! I can't wait to place my first oder.

Here are some items on the top of my list:

Reality Power vs Star Power

Something came to my attention watching the VMA's and talking to friends about their opinions on the stars in BK. We craved that star quality. Back when Britney was everything. When Beyonce came out as a Solo artist. That Star Power that shines on the Red Carpet.
I've noticed how many more stars we have compared to when I was growing up in the early 2000's. We can thank Reality TV for that. Now I'm not knocking Reality TV because I love me some reality TV, but now a days it seems a little easier to become a star. Next thing you know they started a clothing line, makeup line, tanning lotions, jewelry, wrote a book, starred in a movie, came out with a song and then are invited to star studded events and premiers. Does it not give the population and younger generation assumptions on putting their focus on becoming a reality star to get all of these bonuses? TV doesn't show the quick success these stars receive like hard work. Yes you are trading your private life in for complete exposure, but is it worth it all in the end? Are these stars really designing their own lines or are they telling their team members what they like, what they don't like and then approve? Are they really singing or is that editing? Does this make the other designers, singers, actors and entrepreneur's that actually went to school and started from the bottom a run for their money? Are they jealous?
I will give it to the reality stars that have stuck around. I mean like Heidi Klum says one day your in and the next day your out. It doesn't just go for Fashion anymore. These reality stars have had to work hard to stick around and compete with everyone else. They have to keep themselves relevant and talked about. So what do you think? Does the media show becoming a reality star an automatic pedestal for fame?

xoxo Good Night

MTV | VMA Fashion

So I'm waiting patiently for +Joan Rivers at 9:00pm tonight, I cant even imagine what she has to say about last nights fashion choices. The showstoppers I was looking for didn't cut it. The MTV awards are giving these celebs the opportunity to show off their fashion sense, what they stand for and a handful killed it and the rest should go back and reconsider.

Except for Lady Gaga. But who could not be amazed by her flawless body?! And that wig? I want it.

Here's a list of my faves-

Miley Cyrus in Vintage Dolce & Gabbana

Ciara in Givenchy

Holland Roland in Naeem Khan

And of course Ellie Goulding in Brian Atwood

And the one's that played it safe-

Taylor Swift in Herve Leger. I think it's a little old but she looks amazing.

Selena Gomez in Versace. Another dress that was amazing but aged her. I was looking for something fun from her. She's young and hot with a number 1 album this summer.

Paula Patton in unknown. I think it looks like decoration for Halloween. Sort of costume-y. But hubby Robin Thicke looks amaze.

Lil Kim. I am just speechless. I love her and am a big fan. I just don't get it. That weird fishnet material and the shoes. It just didn't look right. Sorry Lil Kim.

Where to Eat | Japanese

You know how there are McDonalds people and then Burger King people? Well in Albany, NY you have Hana people or Koto people. I love love Hana Japanese Steakhouse located on Western Avenue in Guilderland. Friday nights my boyfriend and I usually go out to eat, us two, celebrating the weekend and Hana is usually our first stop!

Sitting at the sushi bar gives you a little bit of a more intimate time at the restaurant. I love watching all the detail the sushi chefs put into each roll. They're so pretty at the end.

Hana has an amazing selection of special hand rolls and sashimi. Not to mention their cocktails aren't so bad either. I usually order the Angry Dragon or Western Avenue, my boyfriend went with the Volcano tonight. Here's a description of the two. For an entree we share some sort of Hibachi meal or the Salmon Teriyaki is amazing. At the end or beginning of the meal I usually start of with a pot of the Blueberry Cheesecake Tea. Yes I said it, Blueberry Cheesecake Tea. If your into that sort of thing.

Overall everything is so delicious it always keeps us coming back. Maybe one day I will be convinced to try Koto.

If your in the neighborhood it's definitely a place worth stopping for.

Here's the address in case.

Happy Friday

I can admit it, I was that person that told themselves everyday I'll be happy when I have a career I'm in love with, a beautiful home and a family of my own. Stop wasting time and be happy everyday. Stop waiting for a time when your going to be happy, you may never have that chance.

Black | Gold

Stunning and Chic in every way Black and Gold will fall under this seasons most lusted trend. Seen on the hottest runways from McQueen, Dolce and Gabbana, Balmain and Diesel to the stores in Crossgates Mall, Black and Gold it is! The Met Gala this Spring showed us a little preview of what was coming. Black has always been timeless. Your either head to toe chic in it or just badass. Adding a glimpse of gold gives you luxe and glamour.

Im excited for all the ways I can take this trend to my own personal ever changing wardrobe. I'll give you some ideas to play with-

Urban Street Wear- Stick to leggings but I would try Leather ones with an oversized black sweater or an urban graphic tee. This one here is perfect. Throw on your favorite Jordans like these , platform sneakers or any other sport shoe out there.

Rocker- Think all black as always. Skinny black jeans. A killer pair of booties like these Sam Edelman's or a flat pair of lace up Steve Maddens maybe with gold hardware and a badass leather moto jacket. Quilted preferably. Bed head and a smoky eye, no need to say more.

Girly & Decadent- Think roaming the streets of Sicily and taking in the sights of the cathedrals. I would use my master piece as a jacket. This season jackets are everything. So why not break peoples necks with a stunning head turner. Use one key piece that will knock everyone out. These statement pieces from Kate Spade are perfect. A lot of texture is the key here. Rich. Luxe. Glamorous.

Below are ideas on shoes, accessories and pieces to give you some inspiration.
