KAS New York

KAS NEW YORK

This past week I went to NYC for a shoot with KAS New York. I had the opportunity to style my own shoot which was amazing because its always fun to be more creative. NYC is my favorite place in the world, it has this energy that no other place can offer, I am always so inspired when visiting and looking around made me want to do more with my passion.
I love blogging and being able to share to the world my love & advice for fashion. Along with the satisfaction of blogging and having followers comes many amazing opportunities. When I was asked to come to KAS in NYC I was taken back and so excited for this venture that was coming my way.  This being my first shoot as a blogger it was an honor and gave me that push to do more with my career.

More pics and outfit details below.

Stories high overlooking the NYC skyline wearing KAS' Lincoln top with black lace detail and KAS' leather Karolyn shorts worn with ankle boots from Zara
I am a huge fan of black and white so this just felt so right.
The flat ankle boots with leather and a button up played up the urban feel NYC gives off.

I love the sparkly pieces that KAS offers.
Top is Carressa
& bottom is Magdalena.
Worn with H&M Blazer
and ankle boots from Zara.

Getting ready for Spring in florals and denim.
H&M denim button up with
KAS' Grayson floral skirt and
ZARA nude heels.

Playful in Arti romper by KAS with
Zara double breasted twill coat and
Zara lace up heels.
I love the mesh detail in this, it gives the look so much sex appeal and is perfect for a night out.

Stunning and shining in another beautiful piece by KAS. The name of this stunner is called Sparkle and it sure does fit. Perfect piece to stand out in the heart of NYC's Times Square.
How can you not love this?

Be sure to check out this amazing line.
If your looking for something vibrant and unique, KAS New York has much to offer.

Thank you so much for the experience I had, it was magical.

Feather Fashion | Holiday Season

The Holiday season has snuck up on us once again and it is full of opportunities to pull out your shiniest and dressier attire-- from sequins, jewel encrusted detail and what other than feathers!
The Fall 2013 collections were full of the embellishment on the runways at shows like Gucci, Dries Van Noten and Alexander McQueen. Don't shy away from the fancy detail thinking it will only work on a runway. Retailers like Bebe, Kate Spade and Club Monaco have offered their own versions, whether it be detail on a purse/clutch, skirts/dresses, shoes and accessories.
So how do you work a trend like this into your wardrobe?
You should keep this fluttery touch for a special occasion (upcoming holiday parties) or during cocktail hours rather than a daytime look.  Underdress a feathered peplum top with black leather skinnies or a feathered skirt with a knit top. Or don't. Just don't don feather from head to toe and expect to look like Beyonce.

Take a look at some great feather finds-

 At Kate Spade.

At Bebe.

Vest from Club Monaco

At Alice and Olivia

At ASOS.com

At ASOS.com

Hair Clip at Anthropologie

At Shopstyle.com

DSquared Brooch at Shopstyle.com

Lanvin Necklace at Shopstyle.com

Feather garments will cost a little bit more than a little black dress, but, it is a piece you or anyone will never forget and it is the holidays. Give yourself a reason to splurge a little.
Challenge yourself this season and add some feather.

Kim K | Fashion

Since Kim Kardashian has stepped back into the spotlight post baby North West, her fashion choices have gone from bright hued tight dresses to muted chic ensembles.
It may be the blonde hair or the anticipation to show the world that she is back, but, Kim K has brought it.

Sunday Funday | LACE

LACE & a BUTTON UP

Key elements in my style are classic pieces. They're easy and polished. I can always count on a button up to class up any look, besides a classic piece like that always goes well with trends. Especially lace.

I don't know if I've already mentioned my love for lace this season, but, I love LACE.
I can't wait to recycle this skirt and wear it with a pair of black flat boots just to toughen it up a bit.

This shot does no justice, I just love action shots. They're my favorite.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What I wore
Military Style Button up from EXPRESS. (Definitely a throwback. About 3-4 years old)
Lace skirt from ZARA.
Similar style shown here & here.
Rockstud shoes by VALENTINO
I bought mine from my favorite retailer Bergdorf Goodman.
Shown here.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now everyone knows my favorite store is ZARA. They always have what I'm looking for and I can count on them for always being on trend.
Lace is Love, Check out these looks.

Love it.

Salon Opening | What I wore

Last nights venue was Ando's Salon grand opening in Slingerlands.
I am so excited about this Salon. Not only because of everything it offers and the looks of it, but my Mom is also a stylist there and she is amazing.
If you're in need of hair extensions, keratin treatments, color/highlights or just a haircut, Ando Salon is where you need to go.
Check out the Facebook page at Ando Salon .

And here is what I wore. Since it is a Salon Opening and the traditional color of hairstylists is black, then black it is. Hey, I am not complaining! More flattering for me! (Smile!)

Trying to figure out what to wear...

And the lovely, Monica. (My Mom)

And a quick selfie ..

What I wore:
Top- Express
Pants- Bebe
Shoes- Valentino

Don't forget to make your appointments with Monica at Ando Salon, at the second location in Slingerlands, New York.
Also, once again I'd like to thank my followers. The views keep getting higher and higher! Thank you.

Blake Lively | 10 Best

Blake Lively, an all American girl.
I've been obsessed since her Serena Van Der Woodsen days on Gossip Girl. I could go on and on with her fashion but that would take forever, she always seems to look amazing. With Anna Wintour and Karl Lagerfeld being fans of this blonde babe that says it all. If I could choose a celeb who is always on top its definitely Blake.
Here's my top 10.

10. Shirt and Pants, Emanuel Ungaro. Shoes, Christian Louboutin.
Printed pants with ruffling detail on the side still look so flattering on Blake's slim and slender body.

9. In Anthony Vaccarello.
Anna Dello Russo donned this ensemb' in a shorter version, but the longer piece is just as amaze.

8. RED, SPARKLES & GUCCI.

7. Dress, Marios Schwab. Shoes, Giuseppe Zanetti.
She glowed in this green skirt.

6. Dress, Chanel. Shoes, Christian Louboutin.

5. Again she dons and perfects Chanel and Louboutin heels.

4. C & C.
Chanel and Christian.

3. Love this Marchesa dress. She can definitely work a mini.

2. Michael Kors and Christian Louboutin.
I've figured it out, red is her color.

1. Blake shined in this dress. She looked so glamorous, like she just stepped out a time machine with this retro look. The hair, the red lips and this Zuhair Murad gown looked amazing on her.

Whether its a mini showing off those gorgeous legs, a gown, suits and laid back looks, Blake has showed she is A list.

xoxo.
