Christmas Wish List

With Christmas being right around the corner certain items become so much more appealing.
The past couple of years I say I don't want anything for Christmas and then every one of my favorite retailers send me an email and in that email is every possible thing I never knew existed but now needed. From little gadgets, stocking stuffers and items I would never spend my own money on has now become something I really really want.
The Holiday Season will really have you feeling crazy so don't over do it. Enjoy the time you have with family and if you exchange gifts put some thought into it. I like getting gifts I won't forget. I mean a Gift Card is always amazing, because you buy whatever YOU want but at the end of the day your not out there buying something completely useless but unforgettable; your putting gas in your car or buying groceries. Let's be honest, its great, but not fun! That's what takes away from the holiday cheer and the meaning of Christmas. You get your friends/loved ones and family members something they won't forget and something that makes them happy not a gift card because its something you think they need. Im not going to remember you buying me my groceries unless you actually take me grocery shopping and then pay for it, lol. You never know, that little knick knack you thought was stupid and a gag gift could really be that little something someone needed to put a smile on their face.
Main point is the Retail Industry works all year like little elves to make up these crazy items and then presents them to the world like a necessity. So have fun this year, you don't have to go overboard to make a point, something little that shows you listen and you care is all.

Heres a list of some items I'd love to open Christmas Morning!

When people remind me I'm not Kim K

Now that Kim Kardashian has claimed the "neutral and nude" color schemes its pretty hard to wear those colors and not be reminded that your NOT Kim K. Yes, I get it Im not Kim Kardashian, but other people also love basic pieces and neutral colors. =)

Here's some neutral inspo for you.
A dusty pink can be worn with lighter colors like gray, white or a nude top.
Now that the weather is getting a little cooler maybe try a patent nude pump and a camel wool coat to keep you warm.
If your looking to wear it in the Spring, style it with these pieces; Crop tops and a simple nude sandal.
Basic staple pieces like this are timeless and great with all ages. How can you not want pieces that you can grow with?! =)

Heres what I did.

Small Business Saturday

Hello followers! I am sorry to have missed out on so much with you.
I am happy to come back and share everything I've been working on with you. As you can see on my Google account I have launched my own clothing line and opened an online boutique. You can shop online at Mercedesbstyle.bigcartel.com.
I will post styles and promotions going on as frequently as possible. You can follow me on Instagram at mer_cedesb for more posts.
Don't forget to support small businesses, it takes a lot to start something of your own. I try to order as much as I can from small businesses rather than corporations. They have enough ;)
Mercedes B boutique consists of a street style and basic pieces that will always stay classic at affordable prices. I love black/white and neutral colors. I love that the 90's style made a comeback. I was young in the 90's so I couldn't really dress like Jennifer Anniston, Kate Moss, Tyra Banks and the Spice Girls. Now that I'm older I can show a little skin and look ok with crop tops and big flannels.
I hope you enjoy the pieces Mercedes B is starting out with. I choose carefully. I buy what I would wear so every piece is close to me and not just chosen to make a profit. I buy what I believe people will love and can work with.
Visit frequently and leave feedback. Thank you for all your support.

SS 2014 | Crisp White

Spring has finally Sprung. It's been a long winter and I've been stocking up on my favorite trends for this Spring/Summer. .. And the color is white!!!
Personally Im not a loud person (fashion wise). I like my nude and mute colors, so white and dusty pink is what I'm feeling right now. My favorite retailers are making it very hard for me not to swipe my card and act like I'm helping the economy.
So let me give you some tips on not going overboard, you really just need the staples… A white pair of jeans, a crisp blazer, fresh white tee/tank and a sexy white dress. I am not very fond of white heels but I did order 2 pairs and am really looking forward to trying them out. The great thing about the color white is you can bring your wardrobe anywhere with you (i.e; vacation, weekend getaway, family trips or being on a boat) and not look like a tourist or someone who is trying too hard. Throw in some other basic colors like gray, black or navy blue and instant chic!

Happy Shopping and Happy Spring!

Check out my favorite pieces from stores like;
Zara, H&M, Forever 21, Club Monaco, Top Shop, All Saints Spitafields and Express.

Hope I gave you some inspiration if your lost on what to shop for this Spring/Summer.

KAS New York

KAS NEW YORK

This past week I went to NYC for a shoot with KAS New York. I had the opportunity to style my own shoot which was amazing because its always fun to be more creative. NYC is my favorite place in the world, it has this energy that no other place can offer, I am always so inspired when visiting and looking around made me want to do more with my passion.
I love blogging and being able to share to the world my love & advice for fashion. Along with the satisfaction of blogging and having followers comes many amazing opportunities. When I was asked to come to KAS in NYC I was taken back and so excited for this venture that was coming my way.  This being my first shoot as a blogger it was an honor and gave me that push to do more with my career.

More pics and outfit details below.

Stories high overlooking the NYC skyline wearing KAS' Lincoln top with black lace detail and KAS' leather Karolyn shorts worn with ankle boots from Zara
I am a huge fan of black and white so this just felt so right.
The flat ankle boots with leather and a button up played up the urban feel NYC gives off.

I love the sparkly pieces that KAS offers.
Top is Carressa
& bottom is Magdalena.
Worn with H&M Blazer
and ankle boots from Zara.

Getting ready for Spring in florals and denim.
H&M denim button up with
KAS' Grayson floral skirt and
ZARA nude heels.

Playful in Arti romper by KAS with
Zara double breasted twill coat and
Zara lace up heels.
I love the mesh detail in this, it gives the look so much sex appeal and is perfect for a night out.

Stunning and shining in another beautiful piece by KAS. The name of this stunner is called Sparkle and it sure does fit. Perfect piece to stand out in the heart of NYC's Times Square.
How can you not love this?

Be sure to check out this amazing line.
If your looking for something vibrant and unique, KAS New York has much to offer.

Thank you so much for the experience I had, it was magical.
