What I wore | The Point Lounge and Restaurant

Saturday night was a Birthday dinner for a friend of mine with more friends and my beau at The Point Restaurant and Lounge in Albany. Which was amazing. My favorite place upstate. 

A leather skirt, crop top and Louboutin's was the perfect look for the beginning of this Fall Season.

When enough is enough.

  In some friendships theirs always one who is super outgoing and fun and another a little more in the dark.  Most of us all have this one friend who makes you feel like you have to dim your light to make them shine a little bit more. Is that really fair? Is it selfish of you not to want to dim your light? Their are some people out there that are not as secure or confident in who they are or who they want to become and then their this person that lights up a room with personality. As a best friend I feel like you should always be supportive and understanding and try to give advice. But when is enough, enough? 

             Should you give up on what you want and who you are because of someone else? Remember this is still a relationship. Just as equal as relationship you have with someone you love and sleep with except sometimes its a little bit more trickier. Lately friends of mine and I feel like our friends have made us feel "stuck".  We talk about what we want to be and try to encourage one another .. but nothing ever comes together. You want to help your friend(s) out because it is your friend, but does that mean holding back on your life to wait until someone is ready? Would somebody be wrong to just go out and do it? Go out and live life that way you want without that person? 

 I know everyone has heard it before, but life is just too short to wait. To sit around and talk about the same stuff, the same drama, the same excuses and the same issues that anger you. One day you just wake up and you feel like you've changed. Why didn't  I start a dream of mine earlier? Why was I held back? When was the last time you did something for the first time?  That is something we should ask ourselves every now and then. 

Don't hold on to the guilt of not trying something or waiting. 

Finale of Paris Fashion Week | Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu & Voltaire

LOUIS VUITTON

Designer Marc Jacobs did not design this collection as a farewell to Louis Vuitton although I beg to differ. The runway sparkled. Creative director Jacobs wanted to bring the "Showgirl" out in every one of them in all black and tons of embellishments. Jacobs dedicated the collection to Paris with the dark background and tons of shimmer. I loved the occasional pop of denim to modern the collection up and head pieces. It was amazing. Bravo Marc Jacobs, you've outdone yourself. 

MIU MIU

This collection was a mash up of the 60's and 70's, the ugly and pretty part of it. 

Although there is something sweet about candy colored coats, thick knit stockings and colored Mary Janes. With colorful prints of birds and flowers and sequined boots it gave Miu Miu some quirky appeal to the runway. 

Looks like it will be a youthful spring! 

HERMES

Clothes for the tropics was the inspiration behind this collection. Designer Christophe Lemaire closed the spring fashion season with sophistication and chicness. The collection focused on keeping it simple with strong silhouettes, colorful prints, slouchy pants, belts, jackets, leather and of course handbags. 

The collection was very simple but far from boring. 

ZADIG & VOLTAIRE

Designer Cecilia Bonstrom opened the show with a series of leather mini's and a cool girl attitude. 

When paired with tough boots the collection gets a tomboy edge and I loved it. I wanted to be this girl. 

Thank you Paris Fashion Week. 

It was by far my favorite.

Paris Fashion Week | Valentino, Chanel & McQueen

The best of the best. 

CHANEL

This runway was alive with color. I was expecting something completely different but Lagerfeld outdid us all with his artful presentation. 

The collection included ombre grays, boots with ribbed socks attached, thin leather pants, multicolored tweed and shrunken sweaters used a separates. 

It was modern art but Lagerfeld still stuck to Mademoiselle Coco's ideas with pearls and tweed. Some references like the interlocking double C's and pearls falling onto the floor, a giant Chanel No. 5 perfume bottle with robot arms and legs, and two oversized Chanel 2.55 bags all made an appearance. 

Lagerfeld, applause. 

VALENTINO

Like Dolce & Gabbana, Valentino brought culture to the runway. Designers Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli drew inspiration from the Rome Opera. 

Their spring collection was romantic in a dramatic way. The material was rich and full of detail. The clothes were regal with pops of bright color on a dark background. Long sleeves and ornate shapes dictated this runway. When a blue button up played up on the runway with wide legged pants it made the collection a little more modern. 

ALEXANDER McQUEEN

Designer Sarah Burton set the destination for Africa for this years Spring Collection. 

The collection was for a strong woman with graphic black and red prints, leather and patchwork. The strong accessories get you ready for battle itself.
